Medical Assistance Report (MAR)
Title XIX and XXI
The MAR is a longstanding historical record of spending and enrollment for each of KHPA's medical plans and includes detailed spending summaries by service and population category. The MAR also includes service and population data of Medicaid spending on Mental Health and Long Term Care services through SRS, KDOA and JJA. Data is pulled on a monthly basis to ensure timely reporting within about two weeks of the end of each month. Retroactive updates in enrollment and spending are not reflected in these reports.

Quarterly Review of Spending in KHPA Medical Plans
These reports are prepared quarterly to provide a high-level summary of spending in KHPA Medical Plans. The data for each report includes five (5) quarters and compares the most recent quarter with spending and enrollment in the previous year.
Retroactive updates in enrollment and spending are not reflected in these reports.
Caseload Estimates
Caseload estimates are prepared by KHPA twice a year to support the state's consensus caseload estimating process. Final consensus estimates may differ from KHPA's estimates based upon feedback and consensus decisions that also include the Division of Budget and the Legislative Research Department. KHPA's caseload estimates include detailed projections at the population level, including analysis of the major sources of growth in spending. Caseload estimates include spending in services in each of KHPA's medical plans, but do not include KHPA's operational and administrative costs, which are funded outside the consensus caseload process.
